Looking for something fun to do this weekend?
The Annual Krewe of Barkus Mardi
Gras Paradeband Dog Costume contest is this Sunday in
Downtown Mckinney Texas.
The event starts at 12:30pm, and the parade
begins at 2pm. The theme for this year’s celebration is
animated characters, from movies, comic books and of course
the Sunday Comics. So bring your imagination, dress your
beagle up as your favorite comic book character. There is
a dog costume contest that starts after the Marid Gras Parade.
The event is free and open to the public. Cost for participants to enter the costume contest is $5 per dog, and pre-registration is required. To register, contact the Art Institute of McKinney at email@example.com by February 3. Be sure to include the dog’s name, color and breed, along with the owner’s name, address, phone number, and e-mail address.
If you like to go shopping, you can
check out the downtown shops, and the
vendor booths. There will be food
and drinks. Wear some comfortable
shoes and check out the sites.
Sounds like a blast doesn’t it?
