Brushing my beagle’s teeth, is a chore. When I was offered an opportunity to try a dental chew normally offered through veterinarians, I said why not. We live in the country and our nearest VET is a half hour away. So our family was thankful for the opportunity.

This is CET VeggieDent Chews by Virbac Animal Health. We recieved them from Entirelypets.com. They are dark brown, and look very dense. Since we have a little boy
we kept these out of reach and in a cool place.
The package recommends giving my beagle one chew a day. This is suppose to help reduce plaque and loosen tartar. Candy would need to chew it, not gulp it down.
Our beagle loves to chew, so I knew that wouldn’t be a problem for her. Its a very thick, chew. So our beagle would have to chew it slowly. I started giving these to her once a day, in mid afternoon.
Candy did take her time chewing these. She does look forward to getting this during the day. My husband and I did notice that her breath did improve. She likes the smell and looks forward to getting this as a treat.
I tried to see if I skipped a day brushing her teeth, if this product would make a difference in
The package does say you can skip a day brushing your dog’s teeth. The product did help with her breath. After that I went back to her teeth brushing routine.
One of Veggie Dent a day can help with teeth problems
It is soluble so it wont cause digestive problems
Candy loves them. So its Candy Approved
One bag contains 30 chews for $10.99 on the Entirely Pets.com. That is a savings
considering that other chews for that amount can cost a bundle
Only time can tell if this product can help Candy’s teeth.
Chewing is important for the chews to work on your dog’s teeth. If your dog has trouble chewing, you will need to break it up for them
to chew. If your dog gulps the treat down, it can be harmful.
Very little all-natural
Made in Vietnam. One of the biggest cons to me. As I really love supporting products
made in the USA, and made with more all natural ingredients.
Maybe hard for older dogs to chew, depending on how good their teeth are. These chews are thick and very dense. It even took some time for our beagle to chew.
Candy does enjoy these chews. Her breath does improve when we give these to her once a day. Only time can tell me what the overall effects will be on her teeth.
