Lucca Canine Military Hero Comes Home and Retires with a warm welcome

On Thursday Lucca an
elite corps of military working dogs
headed home for retirement from her
military service.Trained to sniff out
ammunition, arms and explosives, will now
get some serious rest and relaxation
after a job well done.

She is retiring early due to an injury,
that happened while she was sniffing out bombs.
She lost her front leg in a blast, as she
was serving in Afghanistan.

Examiner.com Reports:

Lucca performed patrols in both Iraq and Afghanistan and she is credited with finding over 40 explosives, which undoubtedly, saved untold numbers of Marines’ lives.

She received applause and cheers, a hero’s
welcome home. Now she can enjoy spending time
with her family.
