Buster the beagle a four year old trained
sniffing hound, finds beg bugs. Beagles
are known for their keen ability in
sniffing out pests.
Reagan and girlfriend Jennifer had a
tough time getting rid of bed bugs in
their apartment. It got so bad that
they had to leave their home. Although
the housing department bombed the bugs
they were still alive.
Frustrated and itchy, Reagan and Martin eventually had to toss out most of their furniture and personal belongings. It wasn’t until they hired a pair of bed-bug-sniffing dogs from Connecticut to pinpoint the trouble spots that they were able to fully eradicate the problem.
“The dogs ended up being our best friends through the whole thing,” Reagan recalls. “They really clarified the situation for us.”
Reagan ended up adopting a beagle. Put
Buster through training to sniff out
bed bugs. Now has his own business
finding the bed bugs with Buster.
A bed bug problem, got a
beagle adopted, and birthed
a business. That’s very inspiring. Reagan
keeps Buster’s nose sharp, by keeping
bed bugs in his home
Bed bugs have become resistant to many of the chemicals out
there. A well trained hound, with a keen well trained nose,
can find the bugs, the larvae, and the eggs.
It takes time patience and training. Reagan states the
business is steady. This means that the problem of these
bugs hasn’t gone away. with the work of these fine beagles,
we can rest easier knowing that they are working to find the bugs
and get rid of them for good.
