Seeing my beagle’s tail wag, is a sign of joy. My beagle also likes
to sing me a song with happy howl, when I come home from the grocery store.
According to this article, Animal experts say, that animals show their emotions
in their facial expressions.Research suggests that dogs can also read the facial expressions
of their owners.
That may explain why my beagle runs under the table, when
she takes my towels. Its like she knows, she is in trouble.
Dogs’ ears are prominent features used to convey emotional expression, therefore our results suggest that dogs were more cautious toward unfamiliar people.
“In contrast, eyebrow movement might indicate a visible response where by dogs attempted to look at their owners more intently.”
Watch your beagle, and see how they move their eyes, when your in the room with them. My beagle not only watches me with her eyes, but when I get near her, she lays down and rolls over for a tummy rub. I’m no scientist, but I believe that’s love. She greats me with a tail wag, and an affectionate, kiss, on the foot.
When we had a stranger come into the house, she did exactly what this article describes. She moved her left ear back slightly. She read his facial expressions, and moved away from him. He told us he was a afraid of dogs. She picked that up, and also barked at him. So dogs can also read our moods.
